Dr. Wayne Cutler, DVM
Owner, Veterinarian
Dr. Wayne Cutler is a rural animal practitioner who enjoys working with all animals but particularly enjoys equine medicine (reproduction and lameness, etc)
Dr. Cutler was born and raised in Heyburn, ID. After helping with a C-section on a cow at the age of 4, he knew he wanted to become a veterinarian. Dr. Cutler completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Idaho and then graduated from Washington State University's Veterinary School in 1998. He moved to the Caribou County area after graduating and has been practicing here ever since. In his spare time, Dr. Cutler enjoys fishing and roping.
Dr. Tawney Barfuss, DVM
Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Tawney Barfuss is a newly graduated rural animal practitioner who enjoys working with all animals but particularly enjoys cattle production medicine.
​Dr. Barfuss was born and raised in the Caribou County Area. She grew up on a cattle ranch and knew she was meant to be a veterinarian. Dr. Barfuss completed her undergraduate degree at the Utah State University and then graduated from the WIMU Veterinary Program (2+2 Program through Utah State University and Washington State University) in May 2024. She moved back to her hometown of Soda Springs to learn from her long-term mentor, Dr. Cutler. In her spare time, Dr. Barfuss enjoys working her Longhorn cattle herd and doing jigsaw puzzles.


Alease Meads
Office Manager, Receptionist
Alease is a woman of many talents, who wears many hats. She is the clinic manager and our receptionist.
Alease is originally from Caribou County but spent her school years in Texas and Utah. She eventually moved back to Caribou County where she met, fell in love, and married her best friend. Both her and her husband love animals and have surrounded themselves with them since they were little. In her spare time, Alease enjoys baking, sewing, golfing, gardening, camping, fishing, and anything outdoors.
Kammi Matthews
Lead Technician
Kammi is the clinic's head technician, and the clinic could not run without her.
Kammi grew up in Wayan, ID (just outside of Soda Springs.) Kammi went to college in West Virgina and eventually moved back to the area where she completed her veterinary technician certification at Bridgerland in Logan, UT. In her spare time, Kammi enjoys hunting, spending time with her family, and helping her husband on their cattle ranch.


Nicole Van Buren
Technician
Nicky is our newest technician but has been with the clinic for a while as the previous kennel/boarding technician.
Nicky grew up in Mink Creek, ID (just outside of Preston). Nicky is a certified animal lover, so her and her husband have an assortment of animals ranging from dogs, cats, horses, and chickens. In her spare time, Nicky enjoys fishing, dabbling in scenic photography, riding horses, and watching her kids participate in various sporting events (football, cheer, and wrestling).
